Coco House

Coco House throws private parties in Lagos and Luz. Villas, not venues. Beaches, not bars. DJs who play the night, not playlists that fill it. A crowd that's on the list because someone wanted them there.

The Algarve has no shortage of bars. What it doesn't have is a night you'd plan a weekend around. That's the gap.

Every Coco House night has its own number, its own name and its own shape. There will be many. Coco House has bigger plans than one party.

Solaris

CH001. The first party. Ground zero. You're in at the beginning.

SOLARIS, from the Latin: of the sun. Not sunset, everyone's done sunset. This is the whole arc of it: the last of the light, the hours it leaves behind, and a room that gets warmer as the sky goes dark.

It starts at dusk, on the terrace, and it doesn't end when the bar does.

The house

Casa Ferrel, above Luz. Coco House's first villa. Private, walled, a pool that catches the last of the light, terraces facing the water, and one big room inside for when the temperature drops and the music comes up. One address, sent to you once you're confirmed.

The music

Johnny Sunset takes the first three hours: sundown, warm, unhurried. Balearic, the slow end of disco, records you half remember.

Joe Ramos, of Thai Beach Club Vilamoura, takes the room from ten and doesn't give it back. Dance classics, disco, Afro house, the balearic stuff with the tempo turned up. A set built for a villa, not a strip.

The evening

Doors and bar from seven. Kitchen until ten. Music until one. Then a smaller after party for those still standing, until late.

Come at seven, eat, watch the sun go. Come at ten and walk straight into the middle of it. Either works. It's 150 people, so it never gets crushed and it never goes quiet.

Food and drink paid on the night. Bring nothing but people.

Dress

Dress up. Not black tie, not beach. If you'd wear it to a good dinner in Lisbon, you're there. Flip-flops go home.

House rules

Three.

1. The list is the door. This invite lets you add your people, so add them, one per line. Everyone on it is there because someone wanted them there.
2. Not on the list? Door staff decide, and only if there's room. Don't build your night on it.
3. It's someone's villa for the night. Treat it like the best house party you've ever been to, because it is.

Why the list

It isn't a ticket. There's nothing to buy. The list is how Coco House keeps the room right: every name on it was put there by someone who wanted them in the room. That's the whole point, and it's the reason SOLARIS will feel different from anything else on this coast.

Capacity is fixed. When it's full, it's full. The first to confirm are in.
